About The Event

Dr Anna Preston will start the day by introducing you to some of the most common mental health diagnoses, neurodevelopmental disorders and personality disorders, such as Borderline/Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder.

You will then look in more detail at how intimate partner relationships can be affected by psychotic/bipolar affective disorders and autism spectrum disorders.

The workshop will be co-delivered by someone with lived experience of Bipolar Affective Disorder, reflecting on their experience of intimacy and relationships, and the impact that their difficulties have had on this area of their life.

By the end of the day, you will understand how to recognise some of the signs of mental health, personality and neurodiversity issues within therapy, and the interplay between mental health issues/personality disorders/ neurodiversity, relationships, intimacy and sex.
