About The Event

This course is especially for counsellors, or those completing counselling training. However, others who are interested in this work are also welcome.

What is the ‘Soul’? This course will use concepts from Jungian Psychology as an introduction to this.

This workshop is about developing a safe containing space for you to identify what ‘Soul’ may mean for you and how this can manifest itself.

We will explore the implications this may have for both our personal and professional lives, and how we may cultivate ‘Soul’ in our everyday lives.

What will we cover?

An overview of Jungian concepts will be given with a particular reference given to the ‘Soul’.

We will focus on the work of Thomas Moore, a Jungian Psychotherapist, and we will explore ways of how we can give space to ‘Soul’ in our everyday lives.

You will be encouraged to bring your own experience and learn through this as you share the experiences of others. It will also be examined how you can carry this work forward after the course.

What will I achieve?

By the end of this course you should be able to...

  • Outline the basic principles of Jungian Psychology, particularly looking at the ‘Soul’.
  • Identify at least one positive aspect that you've gained through greater understanding and exploration of looking at the Soul
  • Understanding the potential the of the Soul and give this its appropriate place in both your personal, and professional life.
  • Have at least an awareness of the ‘Soul’.
  • Ultimately, it is hoped that you will develop an on going appreciation of the ‘Soul’, and how to cultivate this in your everyday life. You may also consider if you would want to take this type of work further.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You will need you to bring the willingness to work with this material, and the willingness to share with others.

This course is especially for counsellors, or those completing counselling training. However, others who are interested in this work are also welcome.

No particular skills required except the importance of valuing and your own experience and others - please bring an open mind.
