About The Event
Our February Soirée will be an evening to convene and ask questions about the online world, featuring the brilliant Cath Knibbs.
The talk will take place between 7pm and 9pm, and includes 30 minutes of Q&A at the end. Doors will 'open' at 6pm and between 6.15pm and 6.45pm we will be offering peer networking sessions using breakout rooms - so come early and take the chance to chat and get to know some new friends and colleagues.
We will email you nearer the time to get an idea of who would like to join the networking groups, but of course you're welcome to just join for the talk from 7pm onwards.
Summary:
Cath is offering up an AMA (Ask Me Anything) about the world of online safeguarding for children & young people -
- how to safeguard,
- how to know where the young people are online and what they do there
- what the current 'cybertraumas' are, how to spot signs that a young person may be vulnerable or have been exposed in some way to cybertrauma
- how that might appear in your therapy room, what can and needs to be done when that does happen.
Cath will also be sharing insights into her upcoming book on human behaviour and technology. This will be an open book based on Cath's 30+ years of experience with, in and around technology and will cover a vast range of subjects from Fortnite to pornography use, from social media trends to the changing landscape of the cyber synapses and many many other relevant and essential topics.
