About The Event
'Stepping Out Of The Frame; an exploration of resilience and containment'
The final in this year’s series of retreats, offers a creative exploration of the therapeutic frame and all that we hold and contain in our therapy practice.
"It is difficult to see the picture when you are inside the frame" Anon.
While holding the frame for our clients how can we best support ourselves? What does holding the frame mean and what toll can it take?
As always this Potting Shed retreat will be facilitated by experienced Art Psychotherapists Bethan & Sharon, welcoming counsellors and therapists of all modalities into this safe and nurturing space.
You will: be guided and supported through a series of creative and inspiring activities to delve into the therapy frame. Working with different media and materials, exploring different tools and ways of working, physically stepping out to utilise the beautiful grounds and gardens as part of image making, playfulness and creative exploration.
You will have an opportunity for group and individual practice to better support your own therapeutic frame. Consider your resilience, what you carry from your therapy practice and how to avoid burnout or vicarious trauma.
We provide everything you need for this exciting and inspiring weekend; tools, art materials, creative activities, lunch and refreshments.
12hrs CPD, certificate on completion.
